How To Get The PMP Certification In 2022?
Obtaining the PMP certification is a challenging task. 5 Steps to earn the PMP Certification
STEP 1: Meet the education and work experience requirements for eligibility.
In order to become a PMP, you must first fulfill the education and work experience prerequisites as defined by the PMI. At present, there are two different levels of PMP Certification eligibility requirements:
· High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree or Global Equivalent
- Minimum of 60 months of non-overlapping project management experience.
- 35 contact hours of formal PMP Certification training.

· Bachelor’s Degree (Four-year Degree) or Global Equivalent
- Minimum of 36 months of non-overlapping project management experience.

STEP 2: Apply for the PMP Certification exam
Once you have met one of the above-mentioned prerequisites, you will be asked to document your education and work experience using an online form. Some of the key information that is asked include — contact details, education attained, and domain education & experience.

STEP 3: Pay the PMP Certification exam costs
There are a number of cost and fees that you need to pay — before taking on the PMP exam. Here are the major costs involved in PMP Certification process.
· Exam application fee: $405 for PMI members and $555 for non-PMI members.
· PMI membership fee: $139 for both PMI and non-PMI members.
· PMP exam prep study material: $179 — $2,600 for both PMI and non-PMI members.

STEP 4: Pass the PMP exam (Hopefully on the first try)
Once you are paid the PMP costs — you will be redirected to schedule the exam’s date and place.
The PMP exam features 180 multiple-choice scenario-based questions that revolve around 3 key domains as defined in the latest version of the PMBOK guide: PEOPLE, PROCESS, and BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT.
The exam lasts for 3 hours 50 minutes — and has no scheduled breaks. The results are given immediately after the exam is finished.
Acing the PMP exam requires an extensive exam prep and a solid study plan. On average, completing the massive examination course takes around 3–4 months.

STEP 5: Maintaining your PMP certification

In order to maintain your PMP, you need to fulfill PMI’s Continuous Certification Requirements (CCRs). The CCR requires you to gain at least 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs) every three years.
